Municipal-based statistical areas

Description

Local government-based statistical areas include municipalities, sub-regions, counties, major regions, regional State Administrative Agencies (AVI), Centres for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment (ELY), welfare areas, constituencies and working areas. Local government-based statistical areas correspond to the regional divisions used in the statistics for the statistical year in question. Annual versions of the data will be published as well as most of the most recent regionalisation data (without an annual denomination in the name of the data). The data used without the annual attribute is updated automatically. Statistical employment areas have been formed on the basis of job placement data.
