Database on Social Welfare Offices of the Emilia-Romagna Region

The database of social welfare offices and services is managed by the Health and Social Policy Information System Service of the Emilia-Romagna Region in collaboration with the provincial administrations (see Article 28 of Regional Law No 2 of 2003). The monitoring of the social-welfare offer concerns residential facilities, day centres and home care services for user areas that meet the priority objectives defined by the regional programming, i.e. the elderly, minors, disabled people, immigrants and adults in difficulty. The surveys are carried out using a survey model agreed between the Region, Provinces and Istat and are managed through a web-based application between the Region and Provinces. The Provinces collect data from the managing bodies of the various departments and services and take care of the entry and control of the data; the Region coordinates and monitors the survey and sends the data for which the national level is responsible to ISTAT.
