Description
Prefecture districts are designated as regulatory ordinances by the district government. A fishing area may be fixed for waters or parts of water of particular importance for the conservation of the fish population as a whole or for certain fish species, nine eyes, ten-foot crustaceans or bivalve molluscs. Waters or parts of water that are particularly suitable spawning and growing places for fish may also be designated as spawning districts. It is also possible, as a regulatory regulation, to designate parts of water that are particularly suitable as winter fish storage areas as a fish conservation district.
