Group Layer Human Health — Population Data
Description
The group layer population data contains information on the number of inhabitants, the population density, as well as the proportion of the population aged over 65 and under 3-year-olds of the population at municipal level. The data are available for 2011 and 2030 (forecast population); in addition, the change 2030 in relation to 2011 of all the parameters mentioned is presented. Thus, the group layer contains a total of twelve cards. The data is based on the 2011 census and the population forecasts based on it in NRW, which were carried out by IT.NRW. The number and density of the population has an impact on the urban climate and is also important in climate change in the context of demographic change and an ageing population that is more susceptible to heat.
