Description
Designated area for the concentration and development of greenhouse horticulture. A zoning plan allows new establishment and expansion of a greenhouse horticulture company with a glass uprising from two hectares only within a greenhouse horticultural development area. A zoning plan only allows a function other than greenhouse horticulture in a greenhouse development area if that other function contributes to the restructuring of the greenhouse horticulture sector. A zoning plan, starting on 29 June 2005, may allow an extension to five hectares of an existing greenhouse horticulture business outside a greenhouse horticulture development area once, if the explanatory memorandum to the zoning plan demonstrates that:a. the extension is necessary for the efficient continuation of the holding;b. relocating to a greenhouse horticulture development area is not commercially feasible;c. this extension is compatible with the local characteristics of nature, landscape and water.The update plan was adopted by Provincial States on 15 December 2021, the date of entry into force is 1 February 2022.
