Mud pit suspected areas (WMS Service)
Description
On this map, the sludge pits are classified according to the results of the AG drilling and oil slurry pits and the extraction measure for the investigation of oil and drilling slurry pits (FM-ÖBSG), valid from 01.01.2016. Which locations can be examined within the framework of the FM-ÖBSG is regulated in the settlement agreement.

For example, mixing pits (e.g. in addition to drilling sludge as well as other stored wastes) are excluded (according to §2(3) of the settlement agreement). They are shown in the map as “supposed area”.
The aim is to create a comprehensive overview of the existing drilling and oil slurry pits in Lower Saxony and the current level of processing within the framework of the FM-ÖBSG. The presentation is initially carried out as a mud pit suspicion surface, since only after further investigations can statements about their existence and potential hazards be made.
