Description
One or more inventory surfaces together form a natural object. A total of 13,904 observations were recorded, of which 10,719 observations could be assigned spatially to the defined natural objects. Individual observations that could be assigned are included in this dataset. The inventory data is also available at the Centre Suisse du Cartographie de la Faune (CSCF). The inventory areas were eliminated on the map 1:25'000 and the observations were also localised on this map basis. The observations were recorded in tabular form (Excel). The inventory areas were recorded in the GIS from map and in clear map situations (e.g. Forest clearings) digitised directly from the screen. The observation data was transferred to a GIS point record and linked to the natural objects. As linking criteria, the spatial superposition or/and comparable attribute values of nearby objects were taken into account. The butterfly inventory therefore consists of two data sets: • Inventory areas • Observation points in the inventory areas
