Reinforcements of the superstructure

Description

The reinforcements of the pavement structure are steel meshes, etc., installed in unbound or bound structural layers, the primary purpose of which is to prevent the formation of longitudinal and cross-sectional cracks in the pavement caused by frost heave and, secondarily, to increase the load-bearing capacity of the road structure, thereby reducing the cracking and rutting of the pavement.
