Wuppertal Volunteer Offices

Description

The dataset of the Wuppertal Volunteer Offices comprises (as of 01/2022) 594 dot-shaped offers for voluntary work in the urban area of Wuppertal from the database of the Wuppertal Volunteer Agency “Zentrum für Gute Taten e. V.” (ZfgT). The dataset contains exactly the information published by the ZfgT since 04/2018 in the Wuppertal Volunteer Card (https://wunda-geoportal.cismet.de/#/ehrenamt). The ZfgT aims to mediate between the expectations of those interested in volunteering and the requirements that exist on the respective volunteer positions in order to avoid disappointment on both sides. The data set therefore does not contain any contact information to the sponsor organisations behind the volunteer positions offered. Data source is a database hosted by the company Freinet-Online, which is maintained by the ZfgT with the specialist application of the same name. The ZfgT database contains some volunteer positions without coordinates or with coordinates outside Wuppertal. These offers are not taken into account for the Open Data publication. A quality assurance process to clarify the semantics of these cases and how to deal with them is under construction. The Open Data record available in Shape, KML and GeoJSON format under an Open Data License (CC BY 4.0) is automatically updated every day.
