Water supply in agriculture
Description
Data on water supply in agriculture are collected on the basis of the Environmental Statistics Act (UStatG), last amended on 16.8.2005 (ยง8). The collection and purchase of water for the purposes of irrigation and the use of water and the irrigated area by crop species are recorded. Irrigated agricultural crops are mainly potatoes, sugar beet, corn and tobacco. The horticultural crops mainly include vegetables, ornamental plants, horticultural seeds, strawberries and asparagus. For the permanent crops, mainly fruit and vine land as well as nurseries were rained.
