Floodplains (district of Göttingen)
Description
Legal basis: Section 76 Water Resources Act (WHG). The lower water authorities have been responsible since 2005.
Floodplains are the areas that are statistically flooded every 100 years (HQ 100). Floodplains have been identified for waters likely to pose a risk. Subsequently, they were provisionally secured and, in some cases, already fixed by regulation. In addition, flood risk areas are defined on the basis of a major runoff event.
Floodplains in the district of Göttingen and areas to be secured for the time being, which have not yet been prescribed:
Aue, Dramme, Eller, Fulda, Garte, Große Lonau, Hahle, Harste, Leine, Lutter, Nathe, Nieme, Oder, Rase and Grundbach, Rhume, Rodebach, Scheede, Suhle, Schneenbach, Schwülme, Sieber, Söse, Wendebach, Werra,Weser, Wieda, Zorge.
