Basic Document - Development of a Circular Economy Strategy.
Description
In this study, the foundations for the preparation of the Austrian Circular Economy Strategy are prepared. The international guidelines, such as the Paris Climate Agreement, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the European Green Deal and the Circular Economy Action Plan, as well as national strategies and programmes, form the framework for this strategy. Based on these guidelines, the thematic priorities for the strategy were derived and the most effective levers and scope for action for Austria along the value chain were identified.These foundations formed the basis for a transparent stakeholder process in which concrete measures for the transformation to a circular economy were developed.On the basis of selected indicators, it is additionally shown how circular Austria is compared to other EU countries.
