Description
Distribution mapping of endangered (and of interest) flora and fauna species in UTM 1x1 km grids in the scope of the following legislations:
- Andalusian catalogue of endangered species. Recognized in Law 8/2003 of the Flora and Wildlife of Andalusia and developed in Decree 23/2012 regulating the conservation and sustainable use of wild flora and fauna and their habitats.
- Birds Directive. Annex I
- Habitats Directive. Annex II
- Plans for the recovery and conservation of endangered species.
The information collected comes, for the most part, from the detailed mapping of the different monitoring programs of threatened species carried out by the Ministry of Sustainability, Environment and Blue Economy. The detailed information is sensitive so an area of influence of 1x1 km has been made on it.
Excluded information: Iberian lynx recovery plan (information not available), Necrophagous Bird Recovery and Conservation Plan (information not available), Fish and invertebrate recovery and conservation plan for epicontinental aquatic environments (in the process of defining methodology) and High-summit species recovery and conservation plan (in the process of defining methodology).
Information restricted to general citizenship. Accessible to technicians from the Ministry of Sustainability, Environment and Blue Economy, and the Environment and Water Agency of Andalusia (AMAYA).
Data updated until December 2020 (fauna) and December 2021 (flora). Compared to the previous version (July 2021), the following changes have been included:
1) revision and correction of rules and categories of threat.
2) species naming review
2) inclusion of flora (2021). Source: download of FAME application data as of 7 February 2022.
3) inclusion of waterfowl in the period 2004-2020.
5) Review of cave-dwelling chiropters: recalculated field cases/occurrences.
6) 16 grids removed from the Monitoring of Territorial Birds
located in isolation in Extremadura (Milvus milvus).
7) Modification of data model. Inclusion of new 'kingdom' field.
