The database shows the location and spatial extent of the fauna-flora habitat areas of Saarland according to the Habitats Directive (Council Directive 92/43/EEC of 21 May 1992 on the conservation of natural habitats and of wild fauna and flora) – Original map of the Saarland 2004 FFH report. Some of the areas are also reported as bird sanctuaries at the same time.
