Geomorphological geotopes
Description
Inventory of geomorphological geotopes of the Canton of Jura according to their importance (national, regional, local) and according to their type. Geotopes are portions of the geosphere delimited in space and of particular geological, geomorphological or geoecological importance. They are important witnesses to Earth’s history and provide insight into the evolution of the landscape and climate. Geomorphological geotopes are the forms and sets of forms of relief. These include, among other things, cluses, dry valleys, emposious valleys, abysss, creeks, ruz, combes. The geomorphological geotope inventory is one of three components of the cantonal geotope inventory. The other 2 components deal with geological geotopes and speleological geotopes.
