Description
From the Austrian utility height network to the national networks of the neighbouring states, there are height differences in the identification points, which arise from the overlapping measurement of the levellement lines of both neighbouring states.
The starting point for a country’s elevation is historical and geographical. Austria and its neighbouring countries have the following usage height systems:
Austria: Level Trieste 1875
Germany: Amsterdam level
Czech Republic: Level Kronstadt
Slovakia: Level Kronstadt
Hungary: Level Kronstadt
Slovenia: Level of Trieste
Italy: Level Genoa
Switzerland: Pierre du Niton – Level Marseille
