Description
As primary height data, the 3D measurement data depicts the topographic situation through irregularly distributed measuring points as well as lines and surface structures. This includes both objects permanently connected to the earth's surface and temporary objects (existing at the time of capture).
Components of the 3D measurement data are the laser scanning point cloud from Airborne Laser Scanning (ALS), the matching point cloud from Dense Image Matching (DIM) and the 3D structure information. The latter are currently still under construction and include rupture edges and striking terrain points. The 3D measurement data are determined in the ETRS89/UTM coordinate system (European Terrestrial Reference System 1989/Universal Transversal Mercator), the height refers to the DHHN2016 with normal height zero (NHN).
3D measurement data form the basis for the derivation of the Digital Terrain Model (DGM) and the Digital Surface Model (DOM), which are characterized by a uniform grid of elevation points in their data modelling. In addition, the 3D measurement data serves as a data basis for the derivation of the 3D building models.
