Mission Statement Urban Climate - Planning Information Map
Description
This thematic group presents complex urban planning information for the individual areas of the city, with the aim of reducing negative urban climatic effects. Most of them contain requirements, objectives or possibilities for urban planning.
Cold air drainage channels (purple): Zone of highest protection value - keeping free of current obstacles, afforestation must be tested, keeping free of air pollutant-mitting plants, creating green areas at the urban end to ensure penetration depth into the urban area, prevention of building blocks
Cold/fresh air production area (dark green): Protection zone - preservation of the entire area, no fragmentation of the area, loose development on the edges of this zone to allow cold air to enter the city
Green areas (parking, garden and green spaces) (green): Protection zone - preservation of existing vegetation areas, improvement of the networking of green areas with each other, creation of as many "green stepping stones" as possible to reduce overheated areas
Transition area - conservation area (yellow): Preservation of the settlement structure, repurposing only taking into account the permeability and preservation of the green area, in the case of adjoining areas with higher climatic loads, no intensification of use should take place, since the area then functions as a compensation area.
Transition space - Optimization area (orange): Repurposing should serve to promote ventilation conditions, increase the proportion of green space and improve networking with compensation areas, no further densification in the vicinity of the remediation zone
Recovery zone (red): De-sealing of areas, creation of climatic compensation areas by increasing the proportion of greenery (e.g. building greening, roadside greenery), improvement of evaporation conditions by using precipitation and surface water, counteracting the heating of the buildings by shading elements
