Land resource map — AR250 — forest bondity
Description
Map layers in the nationwide data set AR250 that show production capacity/bonity in forest area on a scale 1:250 000 and are adapted to use on scales from 1:100 000 to 1:100 000: 300 000. Forest yield is a measure of the area’s ability to produce wood. Property in the data set to be used to produce the map layer is called ARSKOGBON. AR250 is produced by generalisation of AR5 below the wooden limit and interpretation of satellite images above the tree line. In addition, N50 has been used where there are no AR5 or satellite images. Shapes that are less than 100 acres do not appear on the map, but are merged with adjacent areas.
The data set is updated once every three years with the last year’s version of FKB-AR5 (area resource map on a scale of 1:5000 in the database as of 31.12). The latest update has data from 31.12.2016. Data is downloaded as county or municipal files.
