ATKIS - DOP-CIR Land Bremen
Description
The Digital Orthophotos with a Near Infrared Channel (DOP-CIR) are an ATKIS® product that reproduces a part of the Earth’s surface as georeferenced, colored photographic images. The production is carried out by aerial imaging and differential equalisation with the help of a digital terrain model (DGM).
The near-infrared channel has the advantage over RGB channels that areas with vegetation emerge in red tones, as the plant dye chlorophyll reflects the near infrared particularly strongly. The distinction to vegetation-free areas such as sealed soils, soils without vegetation or waters in shades of blue is very clear.
