DGMWSV - Digit. Terrain models WSV (DGMWSV20)
Description
Digital terrain models (DGM) describe the terrain surface (relief) by the spatial coordinates of a representative set of irregularly arranged terrain points. The DGM data are available in the XYZ data format (ASCII) and are grouped in blocks in the sheet section of the German Basic Map 1:5,000. They have a tile size of 2 km x 2 km. The geometric accuracy is +/- 0.25 m in position (XY) and +/- 0.10 m in height (Z). The data volume of the XYZ file (ASCII) is about 0.5 MB per block, depending on the point density (DGM-20).
