Health care agreements pgb; features budget holder, type, care gravity package
Description
As of 2015, long-term care is financed by several laws: the Long-term Care Act (Wlz), the Social Support Act 2015 (Wmo 2015), the Health Insurance Act and the Youth Act. Under these laws, care can be taken as care in kind or financed from a personal budget (pgb). For the use of care from a pgb, budget holders conclude agreements with healthcare providers and declarations are submitted.
This table shows the number of care agreements for PGIs in year, the average declared amount per budget holder per month, the average declared amount per care agreement per month and the total declared amount per budget holder. This table contains only persons and care agreements of persons who were granted a pgb at the expense of the Wlz, Youth Act and/or the 2015 Wmo and are registered in the Basic Registration of Persons (BRP) at the moment. No information on care agreements is available from the Zvw pgb’s. These are PGBs and care agreements that have actually been used to buy care.
The figures are broken down by gender and age on 31 December of the budget holder’s reporting year, type of agreement and health care law and sector and care gravity package as indicated. The zzp of the indication is determined at the start date of the declaration. Declarations can go through if the indication has been adjusted. This allows people to end up in multiplezzp categories at the same time, allowing the sum of the detail data to deviate from the total. The mental health sector is not included in this table because of low numbers.

Status of the figures:
The figures for the last year are provisional and the figures for previous years are final.
Amendments as of 15 December 2023:
— The preliminary figures for 2021 have been finalised.
— Provisional figures for 2022 have been added.
When will there be new figures?
The provisional figures shall be published no later than 12 months after the end of the reporting year. In the event of a new publication, the figures for previous years will be given the final status.
