Caribbean Netherlands; import, export value and trade balance per island
Description
This table shows the total import and export value, their annual changes and the trade balance per island of the Caribbean Netherlands.
A total for the Caribbean Netherlands is not available. Due to the alignment with the Dutch definition of imports and exports, trade between the islands is counted. When publishing a total figure for the Caribbean Netherlands, this would lead to an overestimation.
Bonaire, Saba and St. Eustatius became a public body of the Netherlands as of 10 October 2010.
Data available from: third quarter 2011 for imports and exports of Bonaire, fourth quarter 2011 for imports of Sint Eustatius, first quarter 2012 for Saba imports and second quarter 2012 for exports of Saba and St. Eustatius. These different starting dates are due to differences in the start of the observation of the data on the various islands.
Status of the figures:
The figures on the international trade of the Caribbean Netherlands can be adjusted based on the availability of new or updated source material. As a result, the figures at the first publication have a provisional character. These preliminary figures will be finalised approximately five months after the end of the report quarterly by a revision.
In the second quarter of the current year, the final annual figure for the previous year will also be available on StatLine.
Amendments as of 8 November 2022:
The preliminary figures for the third quarter of 2022 have been added. The figures for the second quarter of 2022 are final.
When will there be new figures?
The figures are available for the first time approximately six weeks after the end of the report quarter.
