Holidays of the Dutch; foreign countries, destinations
Description
This table contains figures on foreign holidays of residents of the Netherlands aged 15 years and older (excluding residents of institutions and homes). The figures in this table refer to holiday participation, the number of holidays, the duration of holidays and holiday expenditure. In the table, holidays abroad are broken down by countries and continents. When a country or continent is not in the table, it means that there are too few observations to publish about it. The figures come from the CBS Holiday Survey (CVO).
In a reporting year, all holidays are counted for which the date on which they returned home was 1 January to 31 December. For example, holidays departing on 28 December 2022 and returning home on 4 January 2023 are fully counted for 2023. However, a holiday with departure on 27 December 2023 and return home on 3 January 2024 does not count for 2023 in this table.

Status of figures:
The figures for 2021 and 2022 are final, the figures for 2023 are provisional.

Preliminary figures for 2024 are expected in June 2025.
