Early school leavers: young people up to 23 years, region
Description
This table provides information on the number of early school leavers (annual increase) up to the age of 23 from secondary education (VO), secondary vocational education (MBO) and secondary general adult education (VAVO) by region.
In order to show how young people in the Netherlands are doing, the National Youth Monitor describes more than 70 topics in addition to this topic. The topics are called indicators.
Data available from school year 2012/'13.

The figures for the most recent reporting year are provisional, the other figures are final.

None, this is a new table. This table is the successor of: ESL by background characteristics; young people up to 23 years of age; 2015 – 2022. See paragraph 3.
When will there be new figures?
The final figures for 2022/'23 and the provisional figures for 2023/'24 will be published in the second quarter of 2025.
