Successful young people (12 to 25 years) in education; background characteristics
Description
This table provides information on the number of successful young people in education aged 12 to 25 in the Netherlands. Breakdowns are made by gender, age, country of birth and country of origin.
In order to show how young people in the Netherlands are doing, the National Youth Monitor describes more than 70 topics in addition to this topic. The topics are called indicators.
Data available from school year 2011/'12.
Status of figures
The figures for the most recent reporting year are provisional, the other figures are final.
Changes as of 26 June 2024
None, this is a new table. This table is the successor of: Successful education; youth up to 25 years of age, residential area; 2000/'01-2021/'22. See paragraph 3.
CBS is moving to a new classification of the population by origin. From now on, it is more decisive where someone was born, in addition to where someone's parents were born. The word "migration background" is no longer used. The main classification Western/non-Western is replaced by a classification based on continents and common immigration countries. This classification is gradually introduced in tables and publications with population by origin.
When will there be new figures?
New figures are expected in the third quarter of 2025.
