Description
Every year, starting from 2018, the National Bank conducts an assessment of the sustainability of banks. Sustainability assessment involves asset quality review (AQR) and stress testing for major banks. The report on the results of stress testing is published at the end of each year in order to inform about the state of the banking sector and its resistance to possible negative changes in macroeconomic conditions.
The publication of the report on the results of the stress test corresponds to world practices and contributes to financial stability by reducing the asymmetry of information. The report provides assessments of the banking system's resilience to shocks and sensitivity to individual risk factors.
