OCS2D: Land occupation in 2 dimensions - Simplified version in 4 posts or 21 posts - Lille SCOT (MEL+CCPC)

Description

OCS2D is the production of a two-dimensional land cover database in the **Scot de Lille** area. The Scot comprises two entities: * The European Metropolis of Lille (MEL), which brings together 95 municipalities for about one million inhabitants, territory with urban dominance (730km2 with buffer); * The Community of Communes Pévèle en Carembault (CCPC), which consists of 38 communes with a population of around 100000 inhabitants. The landscape is mainly characterised by rural areas (350 km2 with buffer). The MEL 2020 orthophotography is the reference support for the 2020 update of the OCS 2D database 2005-2015 developed by photo-interpretation in 2017. ### The basic nomenclature See metadata sheet *OCS2D: Land cover in 2 dimensions - SCoT - 2005 to 2020* (see user guide (available as a resource)): ### The nomenclature "4 items" (resources attached) (see user guide (available as a resource)): the 4-item nomenclature is a simplified version that meets the need to create indicators shared by the various players in the territory. They co-constructed this nomenclature, which provides the first shared indicators available from the OCS2D data, by breaking it down into three generalised spaces: artificialized, agricultural, and natural. It should also be noted that, under the heading ‘artificialised’, infrastructure has been differentiated. The CS-US table found on page 15 of the "user guide" resource illustrates the distribution. There are 7 CS-US7.0.0 associations that have been classified either in artificial (urban context) or in natural, thanks to a proximity analysis. 1. Artificial space 2. Agricultural area 3.
