Description

The figures in this table are taken from the national vaccination register Præventis of the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) - Department of Vaccine Supply and Prevention Programmes (DVP). This table is made for RIVM and contains data on the participation (vaccination rate) in the National Immunisation Programme from the reporting year 2024. Vaccination coverage is the percentage of children in a given birth cohort who have achieved the desired vaccination status according to the RVP vaccination schedule. This rate is set at different ages (infants, preschoolers, schoolchildren, adolescents) and for different vaccinations. As of reporting year 2022, the figures are also available without an age limit. This means that vaccinations administered at a later date (until the beginning of March of the reporting year in question) were also included. Since 1 January 2022, RIVM has received the data of part of the vaccinations anonymously. This happens when people do not give permission to share their data with RIVM. Anonymous vaccinations cannot be counted towards vaccination coverage. This is because the information needed to determine the vaccination coverage is not known. For example, the year in which the vaccinated child was born. The recorded vaccination coverage is therefore lower than the actual vaccination coverage. In addition, the figures for the DKTP-Hib-HepB vaccination rate in infants are also negatively affected by the partial absence of the DKTP scheme indication. It is important to be cautious when interpreting differences between regions or municipalities and differences between years within the same region or municipality. These can be actual differences, but they can also be partly caused by the extent to which informed consent is registered at the regional level and the DKTP scheme indication is passed on. The level of informed consent depends not only on the willingness of the vaccinated and/or the parent(s) to give consent for data exchange, but also on the effort of the relevant JGZ organisation(s) to obtain consent and also differs per vaccine type. Data available from: 2006 Status of figures: Final Changes as of 25-06-2024: Correction of a calculation error in reporting year 2009 in which the populations and therefore also the vaccination rates of MMR basic immune (2 years) and Pneumococcal were completely interchanged (2 years). When will there be new figures? Annually in the second half of June or early July for the year in question. New years are published in a new table and not added to this table. The reason for publishing in separate tables is that each year the most recent municipal classification for the whole period from 2006 is used, and the structure is therefore different.
