HÜK 200 - Hydrogeological overview map of Germany: North Rhine-Westphalia 1:200,000
Description
The digital map HÜK 200 has been designed to provide a nationwide overview of the hydrogeological conditions. It was a joint project of the State Geological Services (SGD) under the auspices of the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR). The map was based on the geological overview map 1:200.000 of the BGR (in NRW on the geological map 1:100.000). In the map, the upper surface aquifer was shown. It has been assessed, inter alia, in terms of its permeability, geochemical rock type and cavity type. The map provided an overview of the hydrogeological properties of the upper aquifer in Germany on a total of 55 leaf sections. The presentation of the upper aquifer included a further five theme maps with the following hydrogeological attributes: Solidification, rock type, cavity type, permeability, geochemical rock type. North Rhine-Westphalia was covered by nine maps. In 2019, the scale migration from 1:200,000 to 1:250,000 took place and the transfer to a sheet-cut-free digital map set (HÜK 250).
