Caribbean NL: health and disorders; personal characteristics
Description
This table describes the health status and conditions of the population of the Caribbean Netherlands aged 15 years and older in private households. The following aspects of health are addressed:
— experienced health
— long-term diseases
— chronic diseases
These aspects are shown for the Caribbean Netherlands as a whole, but also for the islands of Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba. Breakdowns by gender, age and level of education are also possible.
The investigation is a sample examination. This means that the figures shown are estimates, for which reliability margins apply. These margins are also included in the table.
The Omnibus survey was conducted for the first time in 2013 on Bonaire, Saba and St Eustatius in the month of June and the first week of July. The Omnibus survey was carried out for the second time in the months of October and November 2017 on Bonaire, and in the period January to March 2018 on Saba and St Eustatius. In 2021, the survey was carried out in the months of October to December.

Status of the figures:
The figures for the most recent period are provisional.
Amendments as of 15 December 2022:
Figures for 2021 have been added. The table has been extended to include chikungunya and zikavirus as of reporting year 2021.
When will there be new figures?
New data will be published every four years.
