This table provides information on the sexual behaviour of young people aged 13 to 25 in 2023. Breakdowns are made by gender, age and urbanity.
In order to show how young people in the Netherlands are doing, the National Youth Monitor describes more than 70 topics in addition to this topic. The topics are called indicators.

Changes as of 28 June 2024:
None, this is a new table. This table is the successor of Sexual Behavior; young people aged 12 to 25, 2017 (see paragraph 3). Compared to the old table, the age classification has been adjusted. For the variables ‘Contraception use/Spiral’ and ‘Contraception use/Other method’, we can only make this distinction in young people aged 16 and over. As a result, the figures are no longer comparable with the predecessor, except within the age groups of 16 years and older. The percentages for these variables are calculated at the age of 16 to 25 years. Figures on migration background are no longer published in this table.
