Road traffic accidents

Description

The road traffic accident site dataset lists anonymised and localised traffic accident data. Available data shall contain the date, time, type of accident, type of road, location of the accident, external conditions and number of vehicles involved and injured. This data is extracted from the MISTRA VUGIS application on which the police enter accident reports. On the basis of this information blackheads have been defined. These are places where the number of accidents with bodily injury exceeds a limit value within a defined search perimeter over the last three years. The diameter of the search perimeter and the limit value set differ according to the type of road; they are defined in VSS standard SNR 641 724 “Road safety; blackhead management/BSM”. Two layers of black dots exist. A layer with only the blackheads of the current year (SMO3004P_VUGIS_POINT_NOIR) and a layer with blackhead history for each year since the beginning of the surveys (2012) (SMO3005P_VUGIS_POINT_NOIR_ARCHIVE).
