Real-time mobility information with voice recognition – questions such as ‘When is the next U1 coming?’, ‘I need a city bike!’ or ‘Where is a Car2Go?’ are answered in no time at all. The app communicates within a few seconds with numerous open data sources of the city of Vienna and displays, for example, the location of the next Car2Go, the public transport route to Stephansplatz or the stock of City Bike Boxes in the area.

Wave scores with ease of use and intelligent speech recognition. Just start Wave and say what you need. Special expressions or commands are not necessary to communicate with Wave. On the contrary: The more you talk to Wave, the better she understands you.
In addition, thanks to the latest iOS9 technologies, the app is able to read content and information displayed to the user, thus setting an example for greater accessibility.

Wave also convinced the jury of the ESA (European Space Agency) App Challenge in October 2015, which awarded the mobility app with the coveted Copernicus Masters App Challenge Prize. Wave was able to prevail against more than 200 submissions from almost 50 countries.
### Without Open Data, Wave wouldn't know anything
In fact, the app mainly accesses open data sources, because ‘without open data, Wave would know nothing’. Accordingly, Wolowicz is committed to open data and its use. In 2013, together with Robert Seyfriedsberger, he founded the ‘[Open public transport](https://www.offene-offis.at)’ initiative, which is committed to open data for public transport and made a significant contribution to making Wiener Linien's data usable for projects such as Wave.
