Registrations of suspects; crime, sex, nationality, address of residence
Description
This table contains figures on the number of registrations of suspects of a crime registered in the reporting year. The data can be broken down by type of crime, gender, nationality and whether or not suspects are registered in the population register of a Dutch municipality.
When three suspects are registered in one crime, we count three registrations of suspects in this table. When one person is registered as a suspect in three different crimes, we also count three registrations in the table.
In the table, all nationalities can be distinguished with which at least 1,000 people were registered in the population register of a Dutch municipality on 1 January 2022.

Status of figures:
The figures up to 2021 are final. Figures for 2022 and 2023 are provisional. Preliminary figures give an underestimation of the final number of registrations. The preliminary number is a few percent lower than the final number in the most recent year.

None, this is a new table. This table replaces the table 'Registrations and arrests of suspects; nationality'. See paragraph 3.
When will new figures become available:
Figures on the registrations of suspects in 2024 will become available in March 2025.
