Service prices;commercial services and transport, index 2021=100
Description
This table shows the price indices, quarterly changes and annual changes in the prices of services provided by commercial services and transport companies. A breakdown has been made by service types according to the European Coordinated Classification of Products by Activity (CPA 2015 version 2.1). For some services, a further subdivision has been made on the basis of market data that are different from the CPA. This subheading is indicated by a letter after the CPA code.
The price indices in this table all have the index reference year 2021. The annual average, the quarterly change and the annual change have been calculated on the basis of unrounded indices.
The base shift took place as of Q1 2024 (see paragraphs 3 and 4).

The price index of 631119A Datacenter colocation became visible in the fourth quarter of 2022. In the table update of 15 May 2024, no visible figures had yet been included for coding 631119A Datacenter colocation.
With coding 50401 Inland shipping, freight transport more figures have become visible and the history of indices now goes back to the 4th quarter 2014. The same visibility of digits of coding 504 Inland waterway transport, freight transport has been applied to the underlying market segments 5040 Inland waterway transport, freight transport and 50401 Inland waterway transport, freight transport.
With coding 68201 Rental and operation of own or leased real estate, more figures have become visible and the history of indices now goes back to the 1st quarter 2017. The same visibility of figures of coding 6820 Rental and operation of own or leased real estate is thus applied to the underlying market segment 68201 Rental and operation of own or leased real estate.
With coding 68311 Real estate mediation for a fixed amount or on a contractual basis, more figures have become visible and the history of indices now goes back to the 1st quarter 2006. The same visibility of coding figures 6831 Real estate intermediation on a fee or contract basis is thus applied to the underlying market segment 68311 Real estate intermediation on a fee or contract basis.
When will there be new figures?
New figures are available twice a quarter. Halfway through each quarter, the results of the price method Model prices (approximately half of the branches) are published and the other branches with the price method Unit value are published towards the end of the quarter. This refers to the price development of the previous quarter. The Services Price Index of total commercial services is also calculated and published by the end of each quarter.
