GE.Earths 1:25 000 - 1:100 000
Description
GE.Earths 1:25,000-1:100,000 is a transformed version of SGU's Earths 1:25,000-1:100,000 product for the purpose of complying with the INSPIRE Geology Theme Data Specification by Coding according to GeoSciML 4.1.
The information is simplified, on the one hand, with regard to the division of soils into lithological units and, on the other hand, with regard to the constituent layers of polygons with lithological units. In this version, only JG2 Base layers are reported, which means that any underlying layers or overlying thin or incoherent surface layers are not reported.
The mapping has been done with different methods, varying geographical basis and for presentation scales from 1:25 000 to 1:100 000. This means that there are major differences in quality within the product, both in terms of positional accuracy and the division of soil types.
