Air quality - Immission traffic 2017 to 2022 Nitrogen dioxide (NO2)
Description
File provides an overview of the air quality in terms of particulate matter around national, provincial and municipal roads in Gelderland over the years 2017 to 2022. The data has been calculated nationally using the reporting tool. For each road section, the concentration is indicated at 10 meters from the edge of the road. The air quality is shown in five concentration classes. The legend shows the average annual concentration of NO2. Air quality is presented in six concentration classes: exceedance of the annual limit value above 40 μg/m3. The WHO advisory value is 10 μg/m3 yearly average. The air quality is calculated, among other things, on the basis of traffic counts and with calculation models. The sources, such as industry and agriculture, are incorporated into the background concentration. The total concentration also includes the direct contribution from road traffic. The values calculated with the model are validated against measurements along roads, in the city and in the countryside. The RIVM's annual validation report shows that the measured concentrations and the calculated values correspond well.
