Description
This file contains the national landscapes within the province of Groningen: the National Landscape Middag-Humsterland. National landscapes are areas with internationally rare or unique and nationally characteristic landscape qualities, and in connection with this special natural, cultural-historical and recreational qualities. Landscape, cultural-historical and natural qualities of national landscapes must be preserved, sustainably managed and, where possible, enhanced. Consistency, accessibility and experienceability are also important key concepts. The starting point is that the national landscapes must be able to develop sufficiently socio-economically, while preserving and strengthening the special qualities of the area.
