Opportunity Cards Protected Species Indicator (BeSI)
Description
Protected plant and animal species live in our country. At the time of work, these should not be at the expense of these species. We call this the duty of care and this is laid down in the Environment Act. The Protected Species Indicator (BeSI) is an important tool for this. BeSI uses probability maps to determine which protected plant and animal species may be present.
