Environmental Ordinance - Old forest growth sites

Description

The old forest growth sites are derived from the first cadastral registration (HisGIS Plots of land use 1811-1832). Plots that were then designated as forest and still are, are particularly valuable because soil (life) and vegetation have had enough time to be attuned to each other. This contributes, among other things, to the resilience of the forest ecosystem to pests and other invasive events. This file was adopted by the Provincial Council on 15 December 2023 and will enter into force on 1 January 2024 under the Environment Act.
