Mortality indicators by cause of death; region, four-year periods 1996-2022
Description
This table contains indicators on mortality, based on the number of deaths by cause of death for the period 1996-2022, per four-year period. The indicators are the mortality per 10,000 (not standardized, directly standardized and indirectly standardized), the CMF and SMR indices of the directly and indirectly standardized mortality, and the years of potential life lost (YPLL) per 10,000, respectively.
At the municipal level, the figures are only available for total men and women and some main groups of causes of death (Total, 2.1 Malignant novelties, 7 Diseases of the cardiovascular system, 8 Diseases of the respiratory organs, 17 External causes of death and all other causes of death together in one group). At GGD and national level, the figures are available for each gender and with a more detailed classification of causes of death. For all years, the 2022 regional breakdown has been used. The figures in this table are based on the Causes of Death statistics of the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS).
