Study on the visualization of plan changes of the land use and development plan
Description
Changes in the land use and development plan are often difficult to read for those affected, i.e. the residents, but also for the decision-makers. One reason is that they are 2D plans, while references to the building classes concern the third dimension. Thus, a, at least simplified representation as a digital 3D model would be helpful.
The present model is a study that illustrates in a simplified form possible changes to a land use and development plan in three dimensions. The focus is on a simple visualization of the effects of various height restrictions by building classes and thus serves as a first point of reference. The functionality is tested on a concrete example. For the sake of simplicity, more complex requirements of the OIB 3 and the Vienna Building Regulations have not been taken into account for the time being.
The plan is based on Draft 2, Land Dedication and Development Plan, Plan No. 8241, Supplement 1, the Terrain Model (DGM) and the Building Structure Model (LOD1) of the City of Vienna.
