Business to Business Relations in the Austrian Wood Industry
Description
The timber industry is an important economic sector in Austria and moves significant amounts of resources. The study presents relationships between timber companies in terms of quantities, product requirements, the use of environmental technologies and environmental protection (measure of the European Technology Action Plan) and describes selected examples. The focus is on business sectors that process the most wood and whose production figures tend to increase. These are: Sawing, paper and board industry and the energy use of wood and wood materials. This also increases the supply and demand for saw by-products for both material and energy use, which led to competitive situations between industries and types of use.
