Environmental Ordinance - Water catchment areas
Description
A water catchment area is the groundwater protection area where the groundwater can reach a pumping well for the public drinking water supply within one year. The province and its partners aim to protect groundwater as a source of drinking water supply. This file was adopted by the Provincial Council on 15 November 2023 and will enter into force on 1 January 2024 under the Environment Act.
