Industry; production and turnover, development and index, 2021=100
Description
This table contains figures on the development of production and turnover in the manufacturing sector. The figures can be broken down by branch according to the Standard Business Classification (SBI 2008) of Statistics Netherlands. The development is shown as a percentage change compared to a previous period and by means of indices with the base year 2021 as the base year.
The development of production and turnover is published in two forms. First of all, as year-on-year developments in which growth compared to the same period in the previous year is central. These figures are presented uncorrected and calendar-corrected. The second form concerns period-on-period developments, for example month-on-month. Period-on-period developments are possible by applying seasonal adjustment.

Status of figures:
The figures for 2024 are provisional, the other figures are final.
The figures for a calendar year shall become final not later than five months after the end of that calendar year. Due to fulfilled response, the figures can still change until then and the status of ‘provisional’ is maintained. After publication of the final results, CBS will only adjust the results if major adjustments and/or corrections are necessary.

Figures for September 2024 have been added. Figures from June to August 2024 may have been revised.
Changes as of 01 May 2024:
The turnover figures for 2023 have been adjusted.
When will there be new figures?
As a rule, Statistics Netherlands publishes monthly statistics six to eight weeks after the end of the quarterly report. For quarterly statistics, Statistics Netherlands publishes on the last working day of the second month after the quarter.
