Immigration and emigration; age (31 Dec.), marital status, country of birth
Description
This table contains figures on residence of persons from abroad (immigration) in the Netherlands and departure of persons from the Netherlands to abroad (emigration) including the balance of administrative corrections. Figures on emigration including the balance of administrative corrections give a better picture of actual emigration than figures on emigration excluding these corrections.
The data can be broken down by sex, age (at 31 December), marital status and country of birth.

None, this is a new table. This table is the successor of Immi- and emigration; age (31 Dec.), marital status, country of birth; 1995-2022. See paragraph 3.
The following changes have been made to the discontinued table:
- The native countries of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Turkey are allotted to continental Asia (was Europe);
- By using an improved way of deducing the ‘European Union (excluding Dutch)’, small differences can arise from the discontinued table.
When will there be new figures?
In Q3 2025, the final figures for 2024 are included in this table.
