Newly built houses; Input price index construction costs 2021=100
Description
This table contains figures on the input price index of new-build homes. This shows the development of the costs (wages and materials) involved in the construction of new homes in the Netherlands. An input price index is determined on the basis of the price developments of the various cost components from which the product to be realized - in this case a new-build home - is built.
Changes in the prices of equipment (tools and machinery), overheads and 'profits and risks' are excluded from the composition of this index. Costs for energy and transport are also not included in the calculation because their impact on the final cost price is relatively small. The price development of land costs is also not included.
Data available from: January 2018
Status of figures:
Wages price indices are final until 2023, total construction costs are final until 2023.
The price indices of the materials are final up to and including 6 months of the most recent reporting month.

When will there be new figures?
The new figures are published approximately 30 days after the reporting month.
