Description
The metadata record describes all defined protected areas in the district of Mittelsachsen in the category “Landscape Conservation Area”. These Regulations/Decisions give rise to a total area of 599.00 km². Landscape protected areas are legally defined areas pursuant to § 28 BNatSchG in conjunction with § 18 SächsNatSchG in which special protection of nature and landscape is required. The Landratsamt Mittelsachsen is responsible for the designation of the Landratsamt Mittelsachsen as the Lower Nature Conservation Authority.
