LGRB-BW 3D: Processed area
Description
In 2005 and 2006, a digital, three-dimensional survey model of the geological underground of Baden-Württemberg was created at the LGRB (3D country model). In addition to the main lithostratigraphic units, it shows supraregional fracture structures, young volcanic formations such as impact craters. The thickness distributions and layer storage maps derived from the 3D country model give an overview of the primary and residual powers of late Palaeozoic, Mesozoic and kenozoic units and their present spatial position. In addition to a selection of document points (holes, outcrops), today’s smear and spread on a scale of 1:500 000 are shown.
